The Vision

Connecting Central Florida to its Future

All Aboard

The Sunshine Corridor Program will create a route that connects the region’s communities to key locations through the new Sunshine Station central transfer hub. Through this one stop SunRail expansion, workers, residents, and tourists can get to and from the Orange County Convention Center, the International Drive Resort Area, Orlando International Airport, and onward to Brightline service.

A Route for Everyone

This plan benefits all of Central Florida. It will make it easier for residents to get to the places they love, more convenient and cost efficient for employees to get to work, and more lucrative and attractive for businesses to operate here.

A Plan We Can
All Agree On

We have the rare opportunity to positively shape the future of Central Florida. Experts, residents and businesses all agree on this route, and funding has been secured through a mix of federal avenues and private businesses.

On the Right Track

We’re moving in the right direction to create a better future for transportation in our region. The next step requires the SunRail board to pass a non-binding resolution to further study the proposed route from the airport to the convention center, which is the central segment of the corridor. Once this has been done, the findings will be shared with the state’s Department of Transportation and the appropriate federal rail agencies to determine allocation of funding.
